Kitchen Bathroom and Laundry Renovation – Workshop

Expand your employment and business opportunities and be on the pathway to a renovation licence. The Kitchen, Bathroom and Laundry Renovation workshop program is designed to enable you to improve your existing skills in renovation work.

Before making any training decisions we recommend you find out everything you need to know about becoming a licenced Renovator from Building Commission NSW.

Once the workshop is successfully completed you will earn the units of competency to meet the licensing requirements.

To enrol in this course you must have the following entry requirements:

• a minimum of one years full-time (or equivalent) kitchen, bathroom and laundry renovation related experience in the construction industry (experience must be within the last 10 years)
• a valid White Card (General Construction Induction card)
• currently working on active related projects
• Must provide details of two referees to confirm your work history/experience. Referees must be a qualified/licenced tradesperson in one of the above-mentioned trades and/or Cabinet Making and have worked with you for 12 months or more
• able to answer at least 65% of the technical industry questions correctly during your application process.

This workshop has been designed to meet part of the Building Commission NSW criteria to apply for a Kitchen, Bathroom and Laundry Renovation Contractor Licence. Enrolment Conditions

Master Builders has enrolment conditions to help you progress through your training:

• Students cannot enrol in more than one online qualification and/or program at the same time.
• Students cannot undertake more than two programs in total at a time.
• This does not include our online Professional Development, CPD Made Easier, or short 1 or 2 day courses.

This program is designed to be completed within 4 days over 2 x weekends.

Here is a brief overview of the assessments:                                                                                    

• Measure and draw site layout for manufactured furniture products
• Fabricate and install furniture and furniture products                                      
• Match furnishing style/materials to customer requirements                                                                                                      
• Estimate and cost jobs
• Coordinate on site installation of furnishing products                                                                               
• Knowledge testing and practical observations

Participants who successfully complete this course, will be issued a Statement of Attainment for the following nationally recognised units of competency:

Master Builders Association provide the Nationally recognised units of competency required to meet part of the Building Commission NSW criteria to apply for a Kitchen, Bathroom and Laundry Renovator Contractor Licence.
