Course Overview

Together with practical on the job skills, you will be equipped with an advanced level of knowledge to manage medium rise, residential and commercial construction projects.

Advance your career by developing the managerial skills you need to lead onsite operations whilst continuing to develop strong communication, organisational and budgeting skills.

This course covers building and construction theory based on Project Management principles and practices for medium-rise residential and commercial buildings, as well as providing specialised knowledge in structural applications, human resources, and contracts management.

This course may be subsidised by the NSW Government Smart and Skilled initiative. If you are eligible for the government subsidy, your student fee will be determined by the NSW Government. Smart and Skilled prices are subject to funding availability. A quote of applicable fees and funding will be provided prior to enrolment.

Note: On enrolment, you will be invoiced for $1,000.00. This consists of a non-refundable administration fee. According to the Standards for RTOs 2015, at no stage will Master Builders charge more than $1,500 in advance of services being provided.

Master Builders applies the following entry requirements:

  • a minimum of three (3) years full-time (or equivalent) experience in the building and construction industry working under a builder or construction company (experience must be within the last 10 years).
  • a minimum of six (6) months supervisory experience supervising communication and administration processes for building and construction projects or hold a Certificate IV in Building and Construction.
  • a valid White Card (General Construction Induction card)
  • reference from licenced builder you have worked for at least 12 months that confirms your employment history
  • access to building projects up to three (3) storeys for;
    - Residential – NCC Class 1 and 10 buildings, and
    - Commercial – NCC Class 2 to 9, Type C and B construction
  • able to answer at least 65% of the technical industry questions correctly during your application process.

This online course has been designed to meet part of the NSW Fair Trading criteria to apply for a Building Licence. NSW Fair Trading have specific criteria in addition to this qualification. Visit the NSW Fair Trading website for further information

Enrolment Conditions

Master Builders has enrolment conditions to help you progress through your training:

  • Students cannot enrol in more than one online qualification and/or program at the same time.
  • Students cannot undertake more than two programs in total at a time.
  • This does not include our online Professional Development, CPD Made Easier, or short 1 or 2 day courses.

The program is designed to be able to be completed within  a maximum time of 24 months.

We recommend committing 10-15 hours per week to the course to complete it within 24 months.
